The CBC has confirmed that they will air the new Doctor Who roughly two weeks behind the BBC. The first episode appears Tuesday, April 5 at 8 pm. It’s going to be good.
And, courtesy Blogography, you can click on this link to download the first trailer for the upcoming Wallace and Gromit full-length feature movie, The Curse of the Were Rabbit. This is also going to be good.
I have long been a fan of Nick Park’s animation, and if I had the money, I’d be adding his Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run DVDs to my collection. This is claymation at its finest, standing up against the best CGI that Pixar has to offer (and note that I’m a fan of Pixar’s work as well).
Just think, about a year ago, with the fall of :Buffy: and , and with the finishing of The Lord of the Rings, the movie and television landscape seemed to be a barren wasteland. But we were wrong. I guess it goes to show that one must never give up hope.
Here’s a first: Sci-fi Channel has kindly decided to podcast Battlestar Galactica. The most recent episode, Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down, is available from their website in the form of MP3 files. You can download the whole episode, and “pause for commercial breaks when you hear a beep”.
I don’t think there are commercial breaks. Perhaps you’re supposed to look at a flyer for two minutes before resuming the episode.
Thanks to Blake, by the way, for passing this on to me.
