The Iraqi regime announced the results of its referendum on whether or not Saddam Hussein should have another seven years of power.
100% voter turnout. 100% "Yes".
That's over 11,000,000 ballots. In a sizable country with battered and underdeveloped infrastructure.
Yeah, right.
I never claimed that Iraq was governed by anything other than a brutal dictatorship. But now I have to say that it's governed by a brutal dictatorship that must think that we're really, really, really stupid if we're going to buy this farce of an election.
The average Iraqi probably feels the same way. Unfortunately, they're the ones who have to wait for the bombs to start falling.
