More Visitations

Things have gotten a bit sporadic of late on this blog. This is because there are many balls being juggled in my life at the moment. The blog, which has been something of the focus of my attention for the leadup to the Canadian election, is now on the top of its arc and slowly coming down. It isn't calling out for a touch of my hand just this minute.

I've made some progress on some other writing fronts. You saw new opening to The Night Girl, but I'm also pleased to say that I've critiqued a few stories on a couple of critique groups I've been neglecting. And there's that progress I made this past weekend on the :Trenchcoat Farewell Project:.

Finally, I've done some other web work, including new material for J.S. Porter's Spiritbookword and a new website commission that isn't ready for public viewing, yet.

So, all told, progress. Just none of it seen on this blog.

I'd also like to take this time to announce that I've finally started to revise my old decrepid bookstore. This new site replaces a page on my (still clinging to life) old web page from five years ago. The new page is now stocked with material from, the prices are all in Canadian, the shipping's dead cheap, and I've left space for all of you to comment on the stuff I'm stocking on the shelves. More stuff will be added in later days, so enjoy!

I've always thought it would be fun running a bookstore... aside from the bankruptcy proceedings, of course...

Another pair of in-laws are here. My father-in-law and his wife are up for a quick visit. We spent this evening watching the movie In America. I'll have more to say about that later. I'm hoping to show these folks Castle in the Sky. Yes, this would be the third time I've seen this movie, but it's just that good!.

No plans known yet for what we're going to do on Saturday, but I am hoping to enter in more of the revisions for Ninth Aspect's Sentinel.
