I listen to the absolutely horrible news coming out of Russia, and I’m feeling this bizarre compunction to blog about it. It’s weird, and perhaps it’s something other bloggers should comment on. It’s as though I’m feeling the eyes of people looking at me, and I’m expected to express an opinion.
But what can I say when something so horrible happens? What can I possibly add? I can think of nothing that can comfort so many grieving parents, that doesn’t sound trite or inappropriate. I feel the only natural reaction to have is shocked silence, but that seems contrary to the nature of owning a blog.
It is with some relief, however, that I read Michael Wilson’s post. He nails it. He puts it in the proper perspective. And now I can point to him and say ‘what he said’, and return to shocked silence.
That is all.
