A couple of days ago, as I entered my youngest daughter’s preschool to pick her up, a teacher told me that Nora was “in the workshop” and “quite excited” about her project. Sure enough, when Nora emerged, she ran up to me and proudly handed over her handiwork, which is pictured above.
Yes, it is a piece of wood with a nail pounded in it, but it’s a real nail. And if you look closely, you can see by the many dents that she must have given it at least a few good whacks in order to get it down. All carefully supervised, I hope.
It was great seeing how proud she was about her work.
