This afternoon, we picked up Erin from her cabin in the woods. She’d been there since Wednesday, knuckling down on her upcoming novel, Sorrow’s Knot, and she was able to revise the first nine chapters and produce at least an additional 5,000 words of new material. She seems very excited, and eager to get to her writing office this week.
Erin suggested that I bring marshmallows, which I did, along with a book of matches. We struggled to light a fire on a fire pit, but finally managed to get enough to toast the marshmallows, which the kids and I enjoyed very much.
