Hard to believe that it has been six years since daughter the younger’s birth. She’s had a wealth of celebration this past weekend. There was her friends’ party on Saturday, and then there was the family party on her actual birthday on Sunday. Then, yesterday, I took Nora to Toronto for a daddy-daughter day, visiting the Ripley’s Aquarium, and the beach at the end of the line.
Nora relishes being six, and it is amazing seeing her grow. She’s still very much my baby, since Vivian has become the proto-teenager. She’s still the easiest to carry. And yet she’s starting to read, and is already a whizz at mathematics. There’s still a bit of a lisp in her voice, but I know that when it goes, I’ll miss it.
