During March Break, I happened to visit a nearby McDonalds and spotted banners advertising some sort of timely promotion. “Spring Break Mission”, they proclaimed, showing Happy Meals and people in space suits.
“Ah!” I thought. “Something science-y for the kids! Good work, McDonalds! It’s always good to get the kids interested in science.”
Then I looked closer at the space suits.
I’ll give them points for including a girl and a boy on the banners. And I suppose the use of glasses as a sign of intelligence isn’t a horrible cliche (it’s just a cliche), but…
