Snow arrived four days too late for a white Christmas, but at least it arrived. We had a couple of days where the windchill was below -20’C and the kids bundled up and were let into school early. I didn’t find those pleasant, but they were at least beautiful. The rest of the week has been more pleasant, and at least just as beautiful. I’ve said it a thousand times, I’m sure, but winter is easier to take if it’s cold and sunny than if it’s mild, grey and rainy.
Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll be getting a fair amount of rain this weekend, enough to melt the snow we’ve accumulated, perhaps. But there’s promise of a fresh covering next Tuesday…
