March Break

Potty training a new dog brings back memories of the first few days of having a newborn in the house, but (fingers crossed), Luna is learning faster. We had only one accident yesterday (we looked away for one minute), and now we have the impromptu “washroom” blocked off by folding chairs, recycling bins and pizza boxes. It seems to work. As does writing this post in the room itself.

More importantly, Luna is settling in. We moved the crate into our bedroom and Luna slept straight through the night for the first time. No accidents, either. We’re training her to respond to her name.

It also helps that the kids are home for March Break. They’ve been settling in with the dog as well, and continue to love it. Luna’s pretty easy-going, and is going to be a loving companion to the family.
