I hope you all have been enjoying the free chapters I've been uploading of my YA urban fantasy, The Dream King's Daughter. I've been enjoying getting the chapters ready for publication.
If reading these lengthy chapters on my blog is challenging, I'm pleased to announce that I will make this story available in other venues. I'll be creating an eBook and a print-on-demand novel which I will release at what I hope will be a reasonable price to cover my costs. As part of that project, I commissioned the good folks at Bibliofic Designs to draft a cover for this story, and I'm proud to unveil that cover here.
In discussion with Bibliofic, I suggested that we be inspired by the paintings of Alex Colville. Erin originally suggested this Canadian artist because of his interesting, somewhat dream-like, almost chilling atmosphere, especially those paintings about crows. In particular, Erin was inspired by this painting of a girl on a bicycle racing a crow, who could conceivably be Aurora Kelso herself, except she doesn't have a bike. All things considered, I think Bibliofic delivered.
Four chapters remain for the blog telling of The Dream King's Daughter, and I hope you enjoy them, and I hope you'll consider purchasing the eBook or the print book when it's available, though the chapters will remain on this blog, free for all to see.
